As an Alderman in local government, past Director of Elections in state government, minister and businessman, I have been blessed with a unique set of qualifications to serve effectively as your State Senator.
As an Alderman, I have over 25 years of experience in setting priorities and developing balanced budgets, promoting economic development, improving infrastructure, building up communities and working to open the doors of opportunities for all of our citizens.
As past Director of Elections at the Mississippi Secretary of State office, I have experience in working through the state legislative process in the senate and house. Some of our major successes were working with state senators and representatives to reform outdated election laws and the passing and implementation of mail-in voter registration.
As a minister for over 30 years, I have learned how to listen to the suggestions and problems of people. Through listening, understanding is developed and solutions are found. My value system is based on Christian principles.
As a businessman, I understand job creation and how to market Panola and Tate County to attract new jobs to our community.
